so finals are done, the quarter is over, and now its relaxing time.

so finals were alright.  my schedule was pretty easy, so it wasnt as hard as past final weeks have been.  my final score was 2 As and a B.  the B was in abnormal, where i missed an A by 2 points, and stupid rose doesnt give + or -.  ass. missed a 4.0 by 2 damn points. blah.

next quarter should be pretty good.  Im only gonna take 3 classes and my lab, so it should be a bit easier, depending on how stats goes.  not to mention clas son tues and thurs only.  only 4 quarters left at ucsd.  interesting... no?

so after finals I spent the week with avanti, just chilling in SD.  it was alot of fun to just be chilling with avanti, not having to worry about classes and RA stuff and work.  it was great.  we also came up and spent a few days at my house, chillin with the fam.  its great to spend time just doing nothing and hanging out.  I took avanti to the airport on firday morning, and it sucked.  its crappy not being able to see her for most of break.  but i do think its good to get some time away, just to keep yourself grounded and everything.  but i do miss her, every day.

spending time at home is good.  get to see friends and hang with family.  sucks that anchal and elyse r going to europe for break.  but it should be an amazing experience for them.  also, i might be taking a trip up to SLO for a few days over break.  we will see.

anyway, i will keep you updated of the interesting happenings during break. weeeeee

Ok, so it has been like a year and a half since my last entry (about 3 months almost i think), so it is about time for another entry.  I wont bore you with the day to day details of my life in the past months, but I will say that it has definately been an experience.

So RA training was tough.  Long hours and lots of stuff to learn.  Fun times tho.  The other RAs along with the pro staff are awesome people.  RAing too up most of the first few weeks of school.  Also getting to know my residents, who are turing out to be super cool.  Who would have thought that revelle kids could be so cool?

Also during this time Avanti and I celebrated out 1 year anniversary. yaaaay.  pictures to come later.  It was alot of fun, we went to Forever Fodue, and it was amazing. soo much food, soo much fun.  Not to mention getting to spend alot of time with my favorite person.

This quarter has been alot of work, but alot of fun also.  From spending time with RA's, friends, residents, my roommies, and avanti and her roommies, there has been alot of fun had.  There has also been alot of work, what with me taking 6 classes!  Its not really that bad tho, one of them is 1 unit, and another is 2 units.  The rest are 4 units tho!  Thats alot.

Anyway, I will add some pics to the end of this to let you guys see how im doing.   I am excited about break and about next quarter.  Next quarter promises alot of fun stuff.  Honors program in psych, new classes, new ideas for building programs, fun with my friends, and an all around good time.  Yay.  I hope to see you all soon, over the break!  Also, remember its my birthday along with christmas soon, so that means 2 gifts, or just 1 that is the equivalent of 2.  juuuuuuuuuust joshin... or am i???!?

me and avanti on our anniversary

Indian girl and a white boy at a rodeo? who would have thunk?

fondue anyone?

thats all for now.  l8r...

So its just about that time again.  School is lingering just around the corner.  I can see it poking its head out every once and a while.  But for me, it feels like my year hads already begun.  I moved back in to the apts on campus for my RA training.  It has been alot of fun so far.  Lots of bonding and sharing and getting to know 19 other fantastic people (plus the 3 pro staff).   It has been a pretty good time so far.  Especially that 2 day overnight to Julian.  Good pie too .

The other good thing about being back down in the LJC is that I get to see my baby.  No more of this only on the weekend stuff, having to drive at least an hour both ways to see her.  Now she is just like 5 minutes away. weeeeeee, its good times.  Plus, its approaching that scary 1 year mark . its scary, but happy scary.

I am exicted about my residents coming and getting to know them, getting to know all the other residents who I may encounter, just generally doing the RA thing.  Some people may say its a cult (you know who you are), but its more just people who enjoy helping others and having a good time while doing it.
Anyway, thats about all for now.  I hope you all had a good summer, and I wish you the best of luck this year.

So time to update on last week.  During the week- lots of BAF. BAF up the wazoo.

Firday, I went down to the LJC to visit Avanti.  I drove over to pfizer to see where she works, it was crazy, u need an ide card to get in everywhere.  We chilled for the rest of the weekend, watching DVD's and the olympics.  On Sunday, it was the Incubus concert.  here goes...

So anchal and elyse drove down to LJ to meet up with me, since I was already in the area and the concert was at SDSU in the Cox Arena.  They got there, and then I drove us down to get some food at In and Out, and then we made our way to the arena.  The line was freakin long, but the good news was that our floor access tickets, even tho they had seat and row numbers, got us access to the pit, so we could sit next to eachother.  yay!

the opening band was Sparta, and they were alright.  Pretty cookie cutter rock band.  blah.  The real stuff happened when Incubus hit the stage.  They were AMAZING.  so much different in real life than on a cd.  the only bad thing was that we were in the  pit, so we were crammed up against a million other sweaty, smelly people.  Anchal and I had to protect Elyse from the crowds, so we were always surrounding her.  It was just incredible.

afterwords, we squeezed our way through the merch line to get some stuff.  I got a sweet ass shirt. and its of course brown (what else?) Then we went back to LJ and picked up Avanti to go have some late night snacks at Dennys.  It was fun cause Anchal was acting drunk on life and apparently living kills, so  it was pretty fun.  After Dennys, I went back with Avanti, and then had to wake up at 5:30 in the morn to drive home and be at work at 8.  fun, huh? anyway, that was my weekend.  you wish u had as much fun, truuuuuuust me.
